What Am I Lacking?

So, I've been on DA for a few years and I have never quite figured out how to use it correctly. For a little while last year I was seeing some interest in my art, but I went MIA for a few months and since I've been back there hasn't been any interest. I never gained any watchers in my time here and sometimes I wonder if it even makes sense to keep trying. What am I not doing that people want or are looking for? Cause at this point I feel like I've tried everything. Maybe I'm just not social enough. 😔 I guess that's it.
